I am on the gymnastics team at Penn State and title IX is diminishing my sport. The law was created with the good intentions of eliminating discrimination, its interpretation has ended up hurting small men’s sports.Mens teams are cut because there arent enough women athletes to take spots on new teams. In mens gymnastics, 212 teams have been dropped since 1969 leaving 18 NCAA teams.Dropping teams has reduced the number of roster positions from 2,760 to 216

@parkerguitars222 I agree that the law has good intentions and I am all for women having an equal opportunity in sports, however, not at the cost of men’s athletics. It is going to go too far and there will many issues brought to the attention of those who continue to support Title IX. Why can’t their be something that promotes Mutualism? There has to be something that can be done to benefit both mens’ and womens’ sports. Title IX is becoming a parasitic law that causes only benefits for women..

Just so you know, Stalin did the same thing with the creation of the “Genotdel” or women’s section of the Communist party. Title IX has killed of hundreds if not thousands of male sports teams, scholarships and programs. If you do the same to men in science, technical, engineering and mathematics it will surely reduce men from the 40% of college degrees they now achieve down to 30% or 20%!!!! Please stop this, I have a male friend that has had to change schools 3 TIMES!!!!!!!

Also about the diversion of the stimulus package to women.I’ve got guy friends in construction who are living with their foreman in his basement. These guys have ex-wives to support with alimony and their unemployment is getting garnished and given to their ex. Please help. The Bradly Amendment has made it difficult for men to survive. Ladies, if you have not read the article “No Country For Burly Men” by Christina Hoff Sommers please google it. Supreme Council of Women please listen to us!
