My dh and I are applying for a USDA home loan. What is the rate? I tried looking it up on the internet and found nada.
My usda home loan has taken so long the home I want is going into foreclosure. What should I do?

Does it really take this long? I have until Friday the 8th of Jan 2010 to close or the home goes into foreclosure. All I am waiting on is USDA. I’m all packed and we were promised we would know after a few weeks. Everything else is approved.
Are USDA home loans a good way to go?

My hubby and I have applied for a USDA loan. we met with the lady, she said we would be approved based on what we provided. We are waiting for all employment information to be returned to prove everything we said is correct. I am worried that we will have an outrageous interest rate since the paperwork said if we borrowed $135,000, we would repay $266,000. We are 1st time buyers and have no idea how or where to begin with buying a house. I dont want to sign the dotted line without knowing if I can pay off the debt or not. I am set to graduate in 2009, so I know we will have the money to pay a larger house payment then, but we need our own home now. Renting isn’t cuttting it. Anyone else go the same route as we are going? Any advice?
Did the congress bill pass that gives more money for USDA home loans?

I want to buy a house, but my credit score is poor, my husband’s is only 580, but my mon told me that my little sister and her husband just got a USDA loan with no money down and their scores are not good either. Is this an option for me or what should I do?
