What is the best way to lower my home loan payment?

26 Aug

I am trying to find a way to lower my payments because I don’t make enough money. Loan modification is one way but I don’t know all the details about it and it seems for people that are already behind on there payments. I don’t know if I qualify for refinancing as well but my house is not worth what I paid for it. If anyone knows about some of the new programs out there that will help the people that are still making there payments but can’t really afford them. Thx.

Grandparents are old fashioned and don’t let anyone in their financial business. We finally found out that they have refinanced and refinance and filed chapter 13 but didn’t finish (can’t get all the details on that either) but now the mortgage is to high and they want to refinance again with no equity in the home. What option do the have now?

With bad credit, can I refinance my mortgage to the lower rate or will my bad credit prevent me from refi?

04 Jun

I have heard conflicting reports on this.

Now paying rate: 6.25%
Mortgage Rates today: 4.5%

Can I get the lower rate with bad credit?
So I guess the gentleman on Good Morning America does not have his facts straight. He said even with bad credit your mortgage company will refinance because the lower rate will help you stay current on your house note.

Can I lower my mortgage without refinancing?

25 May

When we bought the house 3 years ago there were two incomes coming in, now we just have one income and the savings are gone. I have good credit, but my cc’s are filling up – I do not want to hurt my credit, but am pretty close to getting in some trouble. What can I do to lower my mortgage to get back on track? Would I have to refi or is there any way my current lender can re-adjust?

With the economy, would banks be more willing to give home loans to people with bad credit at a lower rate?

24 May

I’m thinking about buying a home in rural KY where I live now. I have horrible credit, so with reading my question above. What would you think? Or would I still be laughed at? I’m just outgrowing my home with my family. And renting sucks. I’m looking at a loan of 50k

I know Obama wants to lower mortgage rates, but is it likely he’ll make refinancing easier?

10 May

I can’t refinance because I don’t have enough equity…only about 5% due to falling market–has anyone read anything about Obama planning on not just lowering 30 year fixed rates but making it easier for someone with less equity to refinance?
I was hoping anyone reading this with half a brain would get that I didn’t think Obama would personally lower the mortgage rates himself…
And regarding my equity–I used to have a fair amount of equity because I have paid every single one of my payments on time and sometimes I’ve paid more so I could pay down the principle. However, due to “this mess” my property value has plummeted, and thus has my equity. So…..I don’t really feel responsible as you imply…
Okay, I did not make myself clear. I can make all of my payments. I am not having trouble with that. My ARM is up, and I can get a new one for an even lower rate than I originally got one for but I would rather get a fixed rate mortgage which is hard to do with the little equity I have left thanks to the market drop. Does anyone get what I’m saying? Finally, check out this article

This is what I’m referring. to. Thanks.
