Personal Loans / Home Equity Loans?

02 Sep

I got 4 credit cards from 4 different banks. Can I use the personal loan or home equity loan to pay all my balances from these 4 credit cards?

For example, I got a total of $4000 debt, each credit card got $1000 balance, can I pay them all using my Personal loan from Chase?

Because I was thinking like, I can only use the Loan “from Chase” to pay for my debts on Chase.
Is there a difference between Personal and Home Equity Loans?

Debt (consolidation, loans, what?)?

27 Aug

I’m relatively young and in my short trist with credit I have managed to get myself in some trouble. I have a car loan and a large credit card balance. I need to consolidate and if at all possible get a lower interest rate. I don’t own a home and like i said I have a car loan so I can’t offer that as collaterol. I am really lost and I just need some advice on what to do from here. What are my options? What loans are available? What companies that offer consolidation legit? What can I do? It has taken me months just to finally admit that i need help and that my debt is starting to overwhelm me. Please Help me!

Student loans and home loans?

17 Aug

I know that student loan payments are taken into account as part of your debt when buying a home. But what about if you’re still in school and you aren’t making student loan payments yet? We’re looking to buy a house in about 5 mos. and in may I’ll graduate with a BA, I’ve include my estimated conslidated student loan payment in our debt. However my husband is entering grad school and we won’t be paying back his loans for another 3 yrs. But will that still affect how much we can borrow now for a home?
the loans do show up on our credit

When will the USDA offices begin processing loans for the USDA Rural Home Loan Guarantee program?

15 Aug

Though the President has signed and approved additional funding for the USDA Rural Home Loan Guarantee program (now self funded), when will the USDA offices begin accepting and processing loans at the new 3.5% up front fee? My lender will not begin processing my loan until the USDA has updated their system.

Home Loans for bad credit–which ones are trustworthy & reliable?

11 Aug

Please understand that I am not interested in searches for this–I can do a Web search myself. I am wondering if anyone has personal experience or knows of someone who has had personal experience with such loan companies.

What’s the lowest score that has been accepted?
What rates did you get?
What types of credit issues did you suffer at the time?
What was your income range?
individual or joint borrower?
What price range were you financed for (or what was offered)?
How difficult was it?

Anyone use Ditech.com?
Godged–thanks for the info. I’m not looking for that. I’m just looking for people who have had personal experiences. I appreciate you looking out for me, though.

Does anybody know anything about bankruptcies and home loans?

08 Aug

I am in the middle of filing for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. The paperwork hasn’t been filed yet, and because of a bad living situation I am looking at putting in for my veteran’s home loan to buy a house. I’ve never bought a home before (nor filed for bankruptcy for that matter) but does anybody know, if my home loan goes through before the bankruptcy does, do I have to give up my house? Or am I better off getting my Chapter 7 filed now and then apply for my home loan? All this is new to me so any kind of input would be greatly appreciated!
I don’t care what Dr. Phil thinks of me. I started the bankruptcy process when I was unemployed and my debt I accumulated mounted to over $80,000. I started the process to wipe my slate clean because I have no way of clearing that kind of debt. I am in a position now where I have been paying monthly rent and can pay a monthly mortgage, but can’t be saddled with old debt I can never clear. The reason why I’m looking at a home loan option is because with my credit as it is now, landlords won’t rent to me and I need to get out of my current living situation for safety reasons.
