Do you think the Democratic congress is intentionally making the economy fail?

08 Jun

Bush said Congress failed to pass bills that expand safe oil exploration and build new refineries that would help to reduce energy prices. The president said his proposal to expand oil production at home would result in about a 20% increase of crude oil production and it would likely mean lower gas prices.

He added that the farm bill that Congress is considering is “bloated,” and would do little to reduce the cost of food.

“The bill Congress is now considering would fail to eliminate subsidy payments to multimillionaire farmers,” said Bush. “America’s farm economy is thriving … and this is the right time to reform our nation’s farm policies.”

The president also called out Congress for failing to pass his proposed legislation to help modernize the home loan industry through Freddie Mac (FRE, Fortune 500) and Fannie Mae (FNM, Fortune 500) reforms, and by allowing state housing agencies to issue tax-free bonds to refinance subprime loans.
Hey oldmarin- Yes I understand we do not get that much oil form the middle east. We import more oil form Canada than any other country.
Hey southwin, how about this!! Their is enough oil in Colorado and Utah to lat the world for 500 years. It is about 8 times what Saudi Arabia has and 3 times more than all OPEC countries have combined and it can be extracted for $12.00 a barrel and 80% of this oil is on government ground.

Why aren’t most Americans upset with Congress for pressuring banks to give home loans to unqualified buyers?

25 May

Democrats in Congress claimed to be ensuring “affordable housing” by pressuring banks to give loans to people that could not repay the loans.

Then the defaults and foreclosures mounted, and then the financial collapse of those banks, then the collapse of the U.S. economy, then the collapse of the world economy.

Why aren’t we more upset with the congressmen and women, like Barney Frank, who began this financial tumble with their “affordable housing”?

Why aren’t we refusing to elect these congress people?

Which part of The Constitution gives Congress to power to freeze foreclosures and roll back interest rates?

15 May

I heard Hillary on the radio advocating a 90 freeze in home foreclosures (on sub-prime loans) and a 5 year freeze on interest rates (on sub-prime loans). Just where would congress get the authority to void millions of legal, private contracts, freely entered into by millions of people, under the existing laws of the 50 states and territories?

For all of you who are worried about your rights, doesn’t this make what President Bush has done pale in comparison?

Why are the GD GOP in the U.S. Congress fighting the mortgage aid to stop foreclosures?

20 Mar

What the hell is the matter with these crooked SOBs!!!!!!

That SOB, Sen. Jon Kyl (R-Arizona) is lying through his teeth and he will not be re-elected, maybe he is guilty of manipulating these predator loans. He is pure evil but he is not alone. This is more of the thinking and evil actions of the stinking Republicans. They just keep making it hard on the little man and do everything to protect a precious few.
If you can prove otherwise, please share. Looks like more welfare for the rich by defeating this bill. Damn the working man, up with the rich and safe people. Let them eat cake, eh?
Dumb and dumber. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
